Coach definition, not a live verdict. These pages show how the X-ray Coach defines this concept and where its thresholds sit, sourced from the coach's own code. Unlike the tactic pages, nothing here runs a live detector — example boards illustrate the rule, they don't execute it.
What it means
- WWP is about not throwing away games you have already (nearly) won — turning a clear advantage into the full point.
- A position counts as 'won' for this purpose only when several conditions hold together, so a one-move spike does not qualify.
The exact rule the X-ray Coach applies
- A position is a Winning Won Position when eval ≥ +300 cp AND material advantage ≥ +300 cp AND you have held a winning streak of ≥ 6 consecutive moves.
- Fallback (when material/streak context is unavailable): eval ≥ +300 cp, or win probability ≥ 0.75.
How it's scored
- Conversion is measured at four eval thresholds (+1, +2, +3, +4 pawns); success = a win. Each threshold has its own peer anchor table.
- At +3, roughly: 40% win-rate → score 0, 65% → 50, 85%+ → 100.
Why it matters
Failing to convert won positions is one of the most common and most fixable leaks below master level.
